Vertical Stripes and a Winner

I took on a teeny tiny little project over the weekend in our entry (you can see it on instagram here). Last week I mentioned that we painted our living room and that I still had a few more things to do before posting about it. There is one wall in our entry (which is connected to our living room) where I wanted to do something special. For some reason, vertical stripes seem so fresh to me now. They have a timelessness about them, no? Anyway, the stripes are up & I'm so happy with how they turned out! Here are a few great examples that sealed to deal for me.
I put a Laura Ashley Taupe and Cream Stripe Wallpaper in my bedroom 15 and 3 houses ago. It still remains my favorite wall treatment. Classic and fresh no matter when!! Do it! xo

ReplyDeleteAfter painting this weekend, nothing involving paint is a tiny project. Drop cloths, tape, coats, ladders, clean up - and you added measuring and straight lines! So impressive. I love the inspiration and the Instagram pic! Definitely has a timeless appeal.

What fun for your entry! Like Kim I had a cream & taupe striped wallpaper in one of our houses years ago…..loved the look then, and still love it now! Definitely a classic.
ReplyDeleteI would love to incorporate stripes into either my entry way or my office. Both areas are small and I think they would really benefit from having such a large impact. Thanks for the inspiration.
