When the boys were younger, I used to have so much fun planning their birthday parties. Had I known about
Twig and Thistle then, party planning would have been a breeze. Every visit leaves me inspired and wanting to plan a party. If you haven't planned your fourth of July festivities, these images just might motivate you to get started.
The ideas are simple and fun leaving me with that, "now why didn't I think of that?" feeling.
One can never be too old to enjoy sparklers. This is the perfect party set-up for a night of sparklers complete with matchbooks and festive cans of chilled soda.
Do you have big plans for the fourth?
We are going out of town just Friday to Sunday. Be home Sunday before the fireworks. We don't usually go to the fireworks anymore, but I can see a lot of them from my driveway if I want to fight off the mosquitoes after they find me. Hope you have a good one!
ReplyDeleteEvery year we have a big fourth of July BBQ followed by fireworks provided by the town that go off across the field, so we have great seats in my driveway. This year we have decided to just have a get together in the driveway. We want to enjoy the festivities in the town since we miss it every year because we are preparing for the BBQ.
ReplyDeleteI do like the sparkler idea.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful fourth of July!

ReplyDeleteI am going outside in just a few minutes to hang my buntings and to do a little patriotic decorating! I love 4th of July and we are heading out for a picnic on Sunday with friends! Love these wonderful ideas!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
These are great ideas -On the 4th I love making corn and packing it up to take on a picnic to watch the fireworks :)
ReplyDeleteAren't we a patriotic group? Our local high school has a huge fireworks display that is actually run by the fire department. People just pull off the by-pass to hang out for a while and tailgate. The kids run around a have a great time. We have been doing it for at least seven years. Lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun site ~ great ideas!
ReplyDeleteWe are attending a weekend long wedding in Newport this weekend. While I'm certain it will be a fun time, there is just something about burgers on the grill, corn on the cob and firworks after dark to celebrate the 4th.
Hope you have a great one ~
Jo
