Four Jackets I'm Wearing Now

Thursday, October 19, 2017

I cannot tell you how happy these cooler temps make me!  After last week with nearly 100% humidity and heat (and consequential bad hair days) I'm really loving this weather now.  It's cool enough for an extra layer, but not so cold that I'm shivering and chapped.  Light jackets are my friend and here are the ones I've been reaching for over and over.

1.  black compression jacket - If you haven't tried Old Navy for workout clothes, you should.  I've been wearing the running shorts in the warmer months and the tights in the winter months for a couple of years now - not to mention the tanks.  They all wash & wear really well.  This compression jacket is what I reach for every morning when I walk.  I like longer length to cover the caboose and the fitted cut is flattering.  It also has thumb holes for keeping the hands a little warmer on those chilly mornings.

2.  denim jacket - Is there anything better than a worn in denim jacket?  My favorite way to wear it is over a dress because I love to mix casual and dressy pieces.  I also like a denim jacket with black or white jeans.  Mine is old, but it's similar to this oneThis is a fun option with a little sass.  This one is also cute.

3.  twill field jacket - This jacket is so soft and lightweight.  It's the perfect extra layer without the bulk.  It comes in 7 colors and I'm tempted buy it in navy.  This is a really cute trendier option.  I also like this one.

4.  faux leather moto jacket - This is hands down my favorite jacket at the moment.  It is soft yet heavy like real leather.  Form fitted without being too tight.  The price is much better than the real thing.  Each time I put it on I feel like a bada$$.

What jackets are you reaching for lately?

  1. Hi, does the twill field jacket run true to size? I really love that one and I have an older BR jean jacket as well :)
