Yesterday I was outside chasing our wild child around the back yard and decided to snap a few pictures of all that's currently blooming. Rain is coming our way and the pretty flowers may not look the same after the pending weather pattern passes. I love spring! It seems like something new is happening every day in our yard and around our neighborhood. R and I both geek out over the smallest developments :).
This is one of two spots where we love to hang out. I'll post more of this space in the upcoming weeks, but we treasure our time under the shade of the umbrella watching Reagan flatten all the grass pretending to be Timone and Pumbaa in the grasslands, lol!
A few close-ups of the bloomers in this space...
millions bell petunias in pots on the deck
clematis climbing the fence post
a perfect peony just opening
false indigo also known as baptista
another peony and a tiny little ant
annabelle hydrangeas are emerging and will soon turn white
I planted lemon verbena, chives, basil, and oregano in the herb tower. Next to it are pots of parsley and sage.
oakleaf hydrangeas
hellebores
the tiniest lemon on our meyer lemon tree
