ETSY - Etsy is a great source for unique handmade gifts. Whenever I have someone who is hard to buy for I can always find something on Etsy. There are lots of different ways to search for the perfect gift too. Think art, jewelry, pillows, and personalized items.
WILLIAMS-SONOMA - A great source for the domestic god or goddess in your life with gift sets, gifts under $50, and all sorts of goodies for entertaining.
WEST ELM - I like the 'made in the USA' gifts at West Elm. Gifts under $25, gifts for him/her, and games. Of course West Elm is best known for their chic decor items.
