A Ritva IKEA Hack

Thursday, November 19, 2015

In case you missed it, our dining room was included in this post, "The Ultimate Dream House According to Pinterest".  Funny thing is this room has never been "finished".  There's so much I want to do.  One update I recently made was to add pinch pleats and Greek key trim to our existing drapes. It was super easy - all I did was follow this tutorial.  I stitched the trim on about a half inch from the leading edge.

Ritvas are easy to work with because the back already has loops as a guide for pleat spacing.  The newer Ritvas look a little different on the back, but still workable.  Drapery hooks slide into place then attach to rings that go on the rod.
