simple is beautiful

Friday Link Love

Friday, July 31, 2015

We are about to enter August which means summer is winding down.  This time of year always tugs at my heart strings so I plan to make the most of what's left of it.  Our sons have been busy coaching and swimming all summer and are about to wrap that up.  They drive to Maryland next week to visit grandparents so please send prayers, positive woo-woo (or whatever you believe in) their way.  We go to the beach shortly after that.  Next thing you know we'll be sending one back to college. Whirlwind I tell you!  So savor whatever time you have with loved ones this weekend. Hug your babies and get down on the floor and play legos.  One day they'll stop asking...and you'll miss it.

Have the best weekend!  Now for the pretty stuff...

  1. I love the color of the cabinets in the first picture. Thanks for the reminder to play with our kids....childhood goes by so quickly.

  2. LOVE your words…..I really believe it is important to lend perspective at this point to those young momma's just starting out….it goes SO fast and soon they are driving and busy and independent! It's so bittersweet. Wishing you much time to savor it all before September hits!

    1. Thank you Jill. Mine are so independent now, until they misplace something or have a stain on their shirt, lol. I hope you are having a great summer with your beautiful girls!
