simple is beautiful

Monday Inspiration | Lauren Conrad's Penthouse

Monday, September 29, 2014

Lauren Conrad's Beverly Hills penthouse was featured in the October issue of InStyle magazine. Have you seen it?  You know I prefer mostly neutral interiors, but gosh.  I could really embrace the splashes of color sprinkled throughout Lauren's delightful home.  Let's take a look.

This orange sofa sitting on atop the recycled silk rug in shades of pink is so fun & fresh!  I love the gallery wall over the desk too.

I love the mix of old & new mixed with bright yellow in the dining area.

Of course my eye goes right to the moulding details in the bathroom!  What else do I love?  The claw foot soaking tub, the Hollywood lights, and of course the director's chair.

The living room is done up perfectly in neutrals with green accents.  My favorite combination!

The brick wall could not be any prettier!  If you have interior brick, white/gray wash it to give it character.  So, so nice!

I always enjoying seeing a bar stocked with vintage glassware!

The dining room is simple and elegant.  Love the subtle wall paper.

The open shelving, subway tile, apron sink, and loads of white make this kitchen sing.

I could get used to dressing here.  Could you?

  1. I'm in love with this apartment! I really like how the bar is so much darker than everything else, it really pops!

  2. What a great apartment. Her pops of color are lovely and she seems to keep things from looking too busy, yet each room is so alluring with the personal touches of art and accessories. Love the kitchen.

  6. What a beautiful house! She has a great style in fashion and her home. I could very easily move right in. Her kitchen is gorgeous and I love the brick wall. Hmm...might be an idea for our brick fireplace.

  7. Wow. She's come a long way since reality TV. She really does have a great sense of style, and her blog and clothing line are pretty chic as well.
