Checking In...

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Hi there.  I'm sorry for my long break from the blog.  When I started this little blog waaaay back when, I told myself that once it began to feel like I work I would stop.  Even though the blog has turned into a nice little business for me and has connected me with clients and amazing opportunities, it still does not feel like work.  Truth is, I love blogging, being connected to this creative community, and hopefully inspiring others along the way. It's just that right now, I haven't had the time.  This break has allowed me to reflect on this moment - this little snapshot of our changing family.  I've enjoyed being fully present when someone needs me, being in the kitchen for ALL of the early morning conversations, and just having time to get lost in my own thoughts.  For the most part I'm caught up on client work with the exception of a few locals.  I won't be taking any new E-designs this summer, but hope to again in the fall.

Mr. and I have been busy getting our home ready for guests and planning a party to celebrate our graduate. To say that our schedule is packed would be an understatement.  Mothers of young children just you wait; your busiest days are still to come :). After this week, I think things will slow down a bit and I can get back to the blog.

In the mean time, thank you so much for your emails of concern & support!  You all are the absolute best! I'll be back soon with a party re-cap, project updates, and lots more.  Pinky swear.  XO

P.S.  Megan invited me and a handful of other amazing bloggers over to share Father's Day gift ideas.  You can read it here.
