I'm really excited to be starting a new client project this week. As much as I love e-design, I really enjoy my "in town" clients because I get to meet them in person, see how they live, and get a good feel for how things work in and around their home. This particular client needs a few of the finishing details to that complete a room. The house is already amazing, but as with any home, some of the features are dated and need to be replaced. The current fireplace surround is made of green*ish granite and my client would love to change that out which I completely agree with.
While marble and
some granite fireplace surrounds are timeless classics, I'm rather loving the marble tile applications. I've been gathering a few images for inspiration.
The herringbone pattern is my favorite!
While we're at it, the background of the shelves will receive a new color as well as some additional styling. I'll keep you posted...
P.S. I have moved my blog reading list over to bloglovin' and really like it over there. It is super easy to use which has me wondering why I wasn't already there. Since reader is going away, I decided to be pro-active in order to keep in touch with my favorite blogs. If you would like to read Cottage & Vine on bloglovin', just click on the button.
I love the look of a marble surround too! We actually used very similar herringbone tile for our backsplash in our kitchen. It is a gorgeous choice!

Love your inspiration photos. I have the same ones on a board to makeover our fireplace. Gorgeous tile! xo Kristin
