Happy Friday + a Few Random Thoughts

Friday, November 4, 2011

Wow!  Weeks are flying by these days.  Does anybody else feel this way?  I cannot believe it is Friday already - TGIF!

Prepare for a few random thoughts from me today...

I had quite a credit balance with Joss & Main and ordered this umbrella stand.  I am in love.  This is something I always wanted, but could never get over the price tag.

Speaking of umbrellas, I have fallen in love with the creations of Holli Zollinger on Spoonflower.  Take a look at her collection when you get the chance and you will see why.  I remember reading about Spoonflower in my local newspaper several years ago.  It makes me happy to see a local business become an international success.

The holiday issue of House of Fifty is live.  If you have not seen it, you are in for a treat.  Also, if you prefer holding a magazine in your hand, House of Fifty is now available in print.

Please stop by Monday for a fun little giveaway.  Have a great weekend!

  1. Love that umbrella stand! I've been on the hunt for a smart looking stand like that for ages, but haven't been able to reconcile the cost of the ones I really like with what it'd be used for. Ours would be for corralling lax sticks in the foyer, not umbrellas. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Your new umbrella stand is lovely, Rene, as are the Spoonflower fabrics you've highlighted! Is this fabric a hint of a new project in the works?

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  9. I love that umbrella stand...today I could actually put it to use in SoCal. I love that House of Fifty has a print version...I still like to read magazine the old fashioned way...and books too, (from the library)...I would think I'm showing my age, but my 17 year old is the same way...except she prefers her books from Barnes and Noble.
