Here today to share her favorite room is Emily Hewett from A Well Dressed Home.  Welcome Emily!

Hello everyone! My name is Emily Hewett, and I am owner/operator of A Well Dressed Home and author of A Well Dressed Home Blog. I am so honored to be here today as a part of this amazing series!

Determining my favorite room was unexpectedly difficult for me! Initially I thought I'd say my favorite room is our living room because it is a great mix of my husband's and my different styles.

And then I got to thinking, maybe it's our master bedroom as it is cozy and calming....and let's face it, I am appreciative of any amount of sleep I can get these days!

Finally, I came to the conclusion that my favorite room is definitely our kitchen. Is it because I spend a lot of time in there slaving away over home cooked meals? Ummmm, no. I don't cook. But there was so much TLC that went into remodeling our kitchen that it is definitely best-loved.

For those of you that have not seen the transformation on my blog, here is what our kitchen looked like before:

And here it is after the big remodel! Quite a difference, don't you think?!

And for those of you that are interested in the window shade...it was a $25 diy project. To learn more or how to make one yourself, click HERE.

Thanks so much to Miss Rene for including me in this wonderful series! I can't wait to see what other bloggers have in store for us!

Thanks Emily!  You know I love that window shade ;)  To check out more of Emily's work go here.

  7. This kitchen gives me such hope for mine! I have the same exact color scheme but outdated cabinet fronts, and I hope one day to make mine as bright, shiny and welcoming as Emily's! :)

  8. Great rooms! I love the kitchen too... so much fun to see a fabulous before and after!

Lately, I've been having visions of how good our kitchen would look with painted cabinets. But I think the hubs would have a fit at even the slightest mention. :) Our home is only a couple years old and you know how most men are about painting wood... :) So I guess I just need to be patient and maybe someday...

  20. Wow, love your kitchen, Emily. Those look like the same cabinets, just painted and with upper glass-fronted ones added? Will have to check out more. Also will have to see more of the master bedroom--love that mix of patterns in neutrals!

  21. Emily, your home in beautiful! I recently completed my own home renovation (loving it!) but I am stuck on bedding for my master bedroom. Your paisley is very similar to a Peacock Alley print I was thinking about - would you mind passing along your bedding info?

  22. Did you make the new cabinets above the existing cabinets or were they bought?
